What to do?
The region of Murcia is a land of great contrasts - from desert-like plains to rich orchards and fertile fields, from ancient buildings, castles and cathedrals to modern disco-bars.

For the adventurous, there are many interesting historical places to visit.

The following is a list of some of the attractions that the Murcia region has to offer:

· Two seas - the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor (the huge mineral rich sea-water lake between La Manga Strip and the Mainland, ideal for water sports and beneficial for arthritic pains etc.)

· 250 kilometres of coastline (73 of which are surrounding the Mar Menor)

· 22 castles and forts

· 6 different wine ‘labels’, Jumilla, Yecla, Bullas, Ricote, Campo de Lorca and Campo de Cartagena

· An ideal average temperature of 15-20 degrees centigrade in the winter months

· At least 320 days of sunshine annually.

· Four establishments of thermal water springs with distinct medicinal benefits in Archena, Fortuna, Alhama and Puebla de Mula.

· Many fiestas throughout the year.
